How far back do my transactions import?

Automatic bank transaction imports are part of Wave’s Pro Plan. Learn more about Wave’s plans or how to subscribe.

When you connect an account to import transactions into Wave, you can choose how far back you want your transactions to import. However, banks place restrictions on the amount of data that can be aggregated by a third party, and so, depending on how far back your banking history goes, your entire transaction history may not import.

In general, you can import up to 18 months of transactions when you connect a bank account, but this can vary depending on your financial institution. When you connect a bank account, you can choose the date to import from. If transactions from the date you select do not import, then it is due to the restrictions set by your financial institution.

If you need to import older transactions, you can download electronic statements from your bank and upload them to Wave. Learn how to do this in Upload bank and credit card statements. You can also use Wave’s Google Sheets integration, Wave Connect, to upload your transactions.
