It happens—you make a personal purchase on your business credit or debit card. Here's how to mark the transaction as personal so it doesn't affect your business's bookkeeping.
Move a transaction from your business account to your personal account:
- Go to Accounting > Transactions in the left-hand navigation menu.
- Click the down arrow to the right of the transaction and choose Move to Personal.
- You will see a pop-up asking you to select the payment account you want to transfer the transaction to. Select the relevant account, or add it now.
- Confirm the transfer from Business to Personal by selecting Move transaction.
You can also check the personal transactions page to confirm the transfer was completed. Click the business name in the top left corner, select Personal, and navigate to Accounting > Transactions. You can also use this process to move transactions from personal to business.
