This article is for Payroll by Wave in Canada.
TD1 forms, also known as Personal Tax Credits Return Forms, are used to determine the amount of federal and provincial/territorial tax to be deducted from an employee's paycheque.
You can get both the federal and provincial TD1 forms here. Your employee will have to fill out both their federal and provincial/territorial forms and submit them to you so the appropriate deductions can be taken from their paycheques. The deducted taxes are then remitted to the government on the employee's behalf by you, or you can authorize Wave to remit your payroll taxes for you.
When you add an employee to Wave, we will fill in the default deductions or you can make changes to the tax deducted from your employee's paycheque.
