When you hire an employee and add them in Wave, or when you reinstate an existing employee, Wave will send New Hire Reports to your state agencies. Wave recommends you add the employee into the system as soon as you can to ensure the reports are sent in time. However, Wave can only send a New Hire Report if the date of hire is not more than 30 days ago.
Wave will only handle your New Hire Report when your automatic tax payments become active.
