Why can't I find my bank to connect it to Wave?

If your bank is not listed when you search to connect it in Wave, it is not supported by our data aggregator at this time, but there are alternative ways to upload your transactions.

If you cannot find your bank in the list of financial institutions on the connected accounts page, it is currently not supported for transaction imports. However, there are alternative ways to get your transactions uploaded for bookkeeping in Wave. You can read more about uploading a statement here or you can also use our google sheets integration, Wave Connect.

It isn’t possible to add your bank account manually, using your account and routing numbers, on the Banking > Connected Accounts page, to import transactions.

Wave works with a secure third party bank data integration partner, Plaid to offer you the ability to import transactions from your bank account. While they now have a number of Financial institutions on their list, not all institutions and account types may be supported at this time. They are continuing to add to their list of supported institutions so you can type in your bank name on the Connected accounts page and select the option "Let us know and upload a statement" to submit a request.

Since we cannot know when a financial institution would be added, if it is not listed now, you would need to use one of the alternative methods suggested above to get your transactions in Wave. Learn more about how bank connections work here.

If you need to connect your bank for Wave Payments or Wave Payroll, and don’t see your bank listed, you can manually enter your account and routing numbers to complete setup.

If you need more assistance, open Mave, Wave’s automated chatbot, and type change payout account then select Connect bank using routing number, or type change funding account. Mave will help collect any relevant details and direct you to the appropriate support. Learn how to open Mave in Get support with Wave.
