Frequently asked questions

How can I tell if I’m on the beta version?

On iOS, a yellow dot next to the name of the app on the home screen indicates that you’re using a TestFlight beta.

On Android, the app listing on Google Play Store will show Wave (Beta), and display a message that says “You're a beta tester for this app. Future updates will include beta versions.”

How do I leave the beta?

On iOS, search for Wave Invoicing in the App Store. Tap the download icon to replace the beta version with the most up-to-date, generally available version of Wave Invoicing.

On Android, visit the Play Store invitation page for the new Wave mobile app, and tap Leave Program. You will then need to uninstall and reinstall the app. If you reinstall the app and notice the beta version has downloaded again, uninstall the app and wait 10 minutes before you reinstall.

If I leave the beta can I rejoin?

Yes. On iOS, open TestFlight on your device to re-download the beta Wave mobile app.

On Android, you can rejoin the beta again by following the steps in Install the new Wave mobile app beta on Android.

I joined the beta but I still see the old version. How do I get the beta app?

On iOS, you may have joined the beta test without downloading the software. Visit the TestFlight download page for the Wave mobile app and continue from Step 5 in Install the new Wave mobile app beta on iOS.

On Android, if you didn’t have the Wave Invoicing app installed before joining the beta, you may have installed the most up-to-date, generally available version of Wave Invoicing. This happens because it can take several minutes for the Google Play store to complete your beta registration. Wait a few minutes, then go back to the Wave mobile app listing on Play Store and tap Update.

Why isn’t my Android downloading the beta version right away?

The Play Store can sometimes experience delays with downloading beta builds. Check back again later for updates on the app listing page.

Will there be upgrades to the Beta app?

Wave may make updated versions of the Wave mobile app available during the beta test period. Regardless of whether you are on iOS or Android, if you have auto-updates turned on for your apps, you’ll automatically receive these updates. If you don’t have auto-updates turned on, you can check for a new version and manually install it by opening TestFlight on iOS or Wave’s app listing on the Google Play Store on Android.
