View your reconciliation summary page
Check the reconciliation status of all your accounts on the reconciliation summary page. To view your reconciliation summary page:
- On the left-side menu, click Accounting > Transactions.
- At the top right, next to Reconciliation, switch the reconciliation toggle to On.
- You will see a list of all of your accounts, their current balance total, and their reconciliation status.
Account reconciliation statuses
When reviewing your reconciliation, each account shows a reconciliation status:
Never reconciled: You have not yet created the first reconciliation period for that account. To reconcile your transactions, create a reconciliation period.
Reconciled: Your bank balance matches the Wave balance in all reconciliation periods. To reconcile new transactions, create a new reconciliation period.
Reconciliation issue: There is a reconciliation period where your Wave balance does not match the bank statement balance. The affected reconciliation period is highlighted in red. Learn how to fix an unreconciled accounting period.
Reconciliation incomplete: You started reconciling your account, but did not finish. You can continue to reconcile your account.
Reconciliation period statuses
When you select an account to reconcile on your Transactions page, each created reconciliation period shows a status:
Checkmark: The period is reconciled, and your bank statement balance matches the Wave balance.
X: The previously reconciled period needs attention because the Closing balance and Matched balance no longer match.
Warning triangle: The reconciliation for this period is incomplete.
