Create a Checkout

To create a Checkout, first set up online payments. Learn how in Set up online payments.

  1. On the left-side menu, click Sales & Payments > Checkouts.
  2. Click Create a Checkout.
  3. Click Add a product or service and select an item from the drop-down menu, or click Create a new item.

Creating a new item also adds it to your list of products and services.

  4. Modify the item’s description, price, and tax settings as needed. If you add the wrong item, click the trash can icon to remove it.
  5. To adjust the income account, click Edit the income account.
  6. To collect your customer’s phone number and/or address, check the boxes for Request phone number and/or Request address.
  7. If you want customers to purchase more than one, check Allow multiple purchases. Customers will then see an option to adjust the quantity at payment.
  8. To create a recurring invoice from your Checkout, toggle Add recurring payment to ON. Select when you want the recurring payments to end and the payment frequency.
  9. Enter a message that will display after the customer successfully completes their payment.
  10. Click Save and turn on at the top.

Share a Checkout

After saving, you will receive a unique link to the Checkout that you can share with customers or add to your website. Or you can create a QR code for your Checkout.

Click Download QR Code to generate a QR code that can be shared on the go, used on your website, or added to business cards.

When clients scan the QR code or click the checkout link, they will be directed to a page to enter their credit card information.

Manage a Checkout

To view all the Checkouts you've created, on the left-side menu, click Sales & Payments > Checkouts. Here, you can:

  • Edit or turn off existing Checkouts using the dropdown arrow under Actions.
  • Find the link to share your Checkout again.

Turning off a Checkout takes it offline, meaning the payment link and QR code will no longer function. You can reactivate a Checkout at any time by clicking Turn On.
