Turn direct deposit on or off for your employees

If you are using Wave’s direct deposit feature, you can turn off direct deposit for a specific employee or all employees for a pay period. To enable direct deposit again, turn it back on before approving your next payroll.

To turn direct deposit on or off for an employee:

  1. Log in to your account at waveapps.com.
  2. On the left-side menu, click Payroll > Employees.
  3. Click Edit beside the employee’s name.
  4. From the menu on the left, select Direct Deposit.
  5. To enable direct deposit, select Yes. To turn it off, select Not right now.
  6. The change applies to the next payroll you run.
