How bank holidays affect payroll direct deposit timelines

Bank holiday closures impact direct deposit processing times. You can see a list of upcoming bank holiday closures in your Wave account:

1. Log in at waveapps.com.
2. On the left-side menu, click Payroll, then Payroll Dashboard or Run Payroll.
3. Find the dates on the bottom right, under Important Dates.

Wave can only facilitate movement between your bank account and your employees' bank accounts on business days. Bank holidays are not considered business days. Direct deposit instructions sent to your bank and your employees' banks cannot be posted until the banks reopen.

If your regular pay day lands on a bank holiday, select a pay date before or after the holiday to use direct deposit, or turn off direct deposit and pay by check.
