Your payroll taxes and due dates are calculated based on the information you enter in your tax profile in Wave. To make changes, update your payroll tax profile.

Manually mark a payroll tax payment as paid
View payroll tax liabilities and payments
To view your payroll tax liabilities and payments, on the left-side menu, click Payroll > Taxes.
There are three sections: Accumulating Taxes, Due Taxes, and Taxes Marked as Paid. To view a detailed summary of your taxes, click the dropdown arrow to the right of the tax liability.
- Accumulating Taxes: The Accumulating Taxes tab shows all taxes that are not yet due but are accumulating from approved payrolls. When the taxes become due, they move to the Due Taxes tab. To view more information about a tax, to its far right, click the dropdown arrow.
- Due Taxes: The Due Taxes tab shows tax amounts to be paid and their due dates.
- Taxes Marked as Paid: The Taxes Marked as Paid tab shows all taxes that have been paid.
If Wave makes your payroll tax remittances, your liabilities will automatically move from the Due Taxes tab to the Taxes Marked as Paid tab when your payment is scheduled. You don’t need to manually mark taxes as paid when Wave submits your payment.
Manually mark a payroll tax payment as paid
If you handle your own payroll remittances, you can mark your taxes as paid in Wave when you make the payment. To mark a payroll tax as manually paid:
- On the left-side menu, click Payroll > Taxes.
- Click on the Due Taxes tab.
- To the right of the tax due date, click Mark Paid.
