Understand your Payroll Transactions page

Use the Payroll Transactions page to track whether your payroll direct deposit is processing, scheduled, or completed. You can view all of your scheduled and completed withdrawals and deposit payments for payroll, including transactions for employees or contractors paid by direct deposit, and for tax services.

To review or track these transactions, in the left-side menu, click Payroll > Payroll Transactions.

The Scheduled section lists direct deposit transactions scheduled for future payment and those currently processing. When a payroll is processing, the funds are in transit to your employees’ and contractors’ bank accounts. You can view this status to the left of the payroll amount on the Payroll Transactions page, and also under the Status column on the Transactions details page after clicking Details.

Once payroll processing begins, you cannot make changes to the payroll.

The employee or contractor payment status stays as Scheduled until the payment is complete. The Date column shows the withdrawal date, then a description and an amount column.

If a scheduled withdrawal has an issue, you’ll see a banner at the top of the page, and the related transaction will be highlighted in red with a Failed badge. To learn more about the error, click Details.

Completed

The Completed section includes all completed direct deposit transactions and refunds. The Completed status means the bank has deposited the funds into your employees' and contractors' accounts. The Date column shows the withdrawal date or the refund deposit date, then a description and an amount column.

Transaction details

To view more details about a deposit or withdrawal, to the right of the transaction, click Details.

The Transaction details page lists the transactions:

  • Related payroll period dates
  • Withdrawal date
  • Funding account
  • Deposit status
  • Direct deposit recipients
  • Related tax accruals

To view the related approved payroll summary, at the top right corner, click the payroll dates.

To view recipient information, click the recipient’s name.
