Employees: Accept an invitation to access your payroll information

After your employer invites you to access your payroll information, you will receive an email titled “Welcome to business name”.

In order to access your payroll information, you must have your own Wave account. Accepting your invite creates a Wave account that is connected to your employer's, so your payroll information is shared between accounts. 

To accept your invite:

  1. Open the email and click Create your account. You will be redirected to a web browser.

    If your email link has expired, your employer can resend the invite from their Wave account.

  2. If you have an existing Wave account, click Sign in. If not, enter your email and a password, then click Create a New Wave Account. Or, click Sign up with Google or Sign up with Apple.
  3. If you’re creating a new account, enter your business details.

Setting up your Wave account follows the same process as a business owner, including providing a business name and details. For your business type, select Sole Proprietor, then use your own information to create the business account.

Although you have created a business profile, your employee payroll information is under your Personal profile. Learn how to access your Personal account and view your payroll information.
