You can export your transactions, invoices, customers, vendors, bills, receipts, employee information, and pay stubs from your Wave account.
To export your chart of accounts, customers, invoices, and products, use our Google Sheets integration Wave Connect.
Viewer and Editor user roles do not have access to export data.
What’s included in your export files
Export your data
Data exports only include data for the business profile you’re currently working in.
- Log in to your Wave account at waveapps.com.
- At the top right corner, click your business name, then select Business settings.
- In the Settings menu, under Other, click Data Export.
- Select the data you want to export. An email will be sent to the primary email address of your Wave account.
- In the email received, click Download data export.
The email link is active for 24 hours. If the link expires, export the data again. If you do not receive the export email, check your spam folder and remove any email filters.

You cannot print from the Data Export page. To print your data, export your files, then print from your device.
What’s included in your export files
- Accounting data: This export includes four CSV files:
- Accounting file: Contains your journal entries and transactions.
- Bill items file: Contains your bill information.
- Customers file: Contains your customer profiles.
- Vendors file: Contains your vendor information.
- Receipts data: A ZIP file containing your receipt images in their original file types.
- Payroll data: There are two CSV files:
- Employee profiles: Contains your employees' profile information.
- Pay stubs: Contains all employees' pay stubs.
