Add Terms of Service to your invoices in your web browser

  1. Create an invoice.
  2. Copy and paste your Terms of Service into the Notes/Terms section.

    You cannot format text in this section.

  3. To require a customer to agree to the Terms of Service before paying, toggle the button to ON beside Require customer to agree to terms of service before paying by credit card. This is only available for credit card payments and businesses using Wave’s online payments.

    If you require a customer to agree to the Terms of Service, they must check a box that they’ve read and agree to the terms before they can pay.

Edit or delete Terms of Service on your invoices in your web browser

  1. On the left-side menu, click Sales & Payments > Invoices.
  2. Open the invoice.
  3. In the Create section, click Edit invoice.
  4. Scroll down to the Notes/Terms section and edit or remove your Terms of Service.
  5. If your business is using Wave’s online payments, toggle the button to OFF to remove the requirement to agree to the Terms of Service before paying with a credit card.
  6. Click Save and continue.

Resend the updated invoice to your customer.

  1. Create an invoice.
  2. Scroll down, then tap the Notes and terms section.
  3. Copy and paste your Terms of Service into the Notes/Terms of service section.

    You cannot format text in this section.

  4. Tap Done.
  5. To require a customer to agree to the Terms of Service before paying, tap the checkbox next to Require Terms of Service to turn the requirement on. This is only available for credit card payments and businesses using Wave’s online payments.

    If you require a customer to agree to the Terms of Service, they must check a box that they’ve read and agree to the terms before they can pay.

  6. Tap Save.

Edit or remove Terms of Service from your invoices in the mobile app

  1. In the bottom menu, tap Sales > Invoices.
  2. Tap on an invoice to open it.
  3. At the top right, tap the pencil icon, then scroll down and tap the Notes and terms field.
  4. If your business is using Wave’s online payments, tap the checkbox next to Require Terms of Service to turn this requirement off.
  5. To edit or delete the terms of service text, tap the text and make your changes.
  6. Tap Done, then tap Save.
