The Reports page displays the different report types available in Wave. Reports can help you gain deeper business insights and provide information for tax filing.
To open the Reports page, on the left-side menu, click Reports.
Reports are organized into six sections: Financial statements, taxes, payroll, customers, vendors, and detailed reporting.
You cannot create custom sections or reports.

Financial statements
Financial statements provide insight into your business’s financial health and how it is performing. The reports include:
Profit & Loss (Income Statement): This shows the total income and expenses for a selected period. Learn more in View and understand your profit & loss statement.
Balance Sheet: This provides an overview of your business's assets, liabilities, and equity to assess your company's worth at a specific moment in time. Learn more in View and understand your balance sheet.
Cash Flow: This shows how much money is moving in and out of your business. Use this report to see how much cash is available to your business at a given time. Learn more in View and understand your cash flow statement.
Taxes
Tax reports provide insight into taxes you’ve collected and owe. The reports include:
Sales Tax: This shows you the tax paid on sales and purchases to help you file your taxes accurately. Learn more in View and understand your sales tax report.
Payroll
Payroll reports track your employee costs and tax liabilities. The reports include:
Payroll Wage and Tax: Provides a breakdown of employee wage and payroll tax amounts over a specified period. This information can be used to make tax payments and complete filings. Learn more in Payroll wage & tax report.
Payroll Benefits and Deductions: Provides a breakdown of benefits and deductions by employee and pay period. Learn more in Payroll benefits and deductions report.
Customers
Customer reports track your income by customer, outstanding and overdue balances, and credits owed. The reports include:
Income by Customer: This shows your income by each customer. All income takes into account paid and unpaid income. Click an amount in this report to see all transactions for a customer in the account transactions report.
Aged Receivables: This shows your customers' unpaid and overdue invoices. Learn more in Aged receivables report.
Customer Credits: This shows the customers who have paid deposits or credits with your business. Learn more in View and understand your customer credits report.
Vendors
Vendor reports track business expenses and money owed to vendors. These reports include:
Purchases by Vendor: This shows a breakdown of your purchases for each vendor or contractor that has a bill in Wave. All purchases include unpaid bills and paid purchases. Click an amount in this report to view the account transactions report for that vendor.
Aged Payables: This shows how much you owe your vendors. It is a breakdown of your bills, who they are owed to, and if any are overdue.
Detailed reporting
The detailed reports show more in-depth information on business transactions, accounts, and account balances. These reports include:
Account Balances: This shows the balance of each of your accounts. For each account, view the ending balance, debits, credits, and net movement that occurred between the account’s starting balance and the end date of the report.
Trial Balance: This shows the total of all debits and credits for an account on a specific day. At the bottom of this report are the total debits and credits for all accounts. The total debits always match the total credits.
Account Transactions (General Ledger): This offers a detailed view of all transactions to provide in-depth information about each account in your chart of accounts. Use the filter options to look at the transactions of specific accounts, customers, or vendors. For better visibility into your business’s progress, each account displays the starting balance and balance change for the selected time period.
Wave doesn’t have a specific product report page. Use the Account Transactions report to track sales and purchases made for a particular product or service. Learn to track sales and purchases for a product or service.
