Set up receipt email forwarding

You can take this action using Wave’s receipts scan feature. Receipts scan is available with a subscription to Wave’s Receipts Plan or Pro Plan. To manage receipts without the receipts scan feature, you can Add or delete an attachment on a transaction.


Receipt email forwarding allows you to email receipts to Wave to automatically create a transaction with the receipt attached.

Create a forwarding email address

You can only set up a forwarding email address in the mobile app.

  1. Log in to the Wave mobile app.
  2. Tap Accounting on the bottom menu, then tap Receipts in the submenu.
  3. Tap the three dots at the top right.
  4. Tap Create forwarding address.
  5. Enter an email for your email forwarding address.

    Ensure you are happy with the email you enter, as it cannot be changed.

  6. Tap Save.
