If you do not need to run payroll for a month or more, you can temporarily pause your payroll with a limited-access subscription.
You will have full access to all payroll features until the end of the month in which you switch your subscription. After that, your payroll subscription will change to limited-access.

The subscription includes:

- Employee self-onboarding
- W-2s
- Continued access to automated tax payment and filing services
With a limited-access payroll subscription, you cannot:
- Approve or process payrolls
- Edit timesheets
- Add payroll history
Canada: Limited-access payroll subscription
A limited-access payroll subscription for businesses in Canada is $10 per month.
The subscription includes:
- Customer support
- Outstanding remittance payments to the CRA
- Payroll reporting
- Updating business and employee details
- Continued enrolment in direct deposit for future payroll processing
- Employee access to previous pay stubs and tax forms
- Access to year-end tax slips
- Records of Employment
- Previous payroll journal entries
- Benefit and deduction updates
- Employee self-onboarding
With a limited-access payroll subscription, you cannot:
- Approve or process payrolls
- Edit timesheets
- Add payroll history
- Report a nil remittance
If you have no employees, no deductions, or seasonal workers, you can report a nil remittance directly with the CRA.
