Inviting your employees to Wave lets them view or update their payroll information from their own Wave account. Learn how employees can access or update their payroll information.
Update an employee email address
Invite your employee to Wave
- Log in at waveapps.com.
- On the left side menu, click Payroll > Employees.
- Click the name of the employee you want to invite.
- In the Personal Information tab, enter their email address, then click Save.
- At the top right corner, click Invite to Wave.
Your employee will receive an email titled “Welcome to business name”. This email invites them to create their own Wave account or log in to an existing one.
If your employee creates a new Wave account, they must create a business profile. While their payroll information is in their Personal profile, they must have a business profile to have a Wave account.
Update an employee email address
To update an employee email address after you have sent an invite to Wave:
- Log in at waveapps.com.
- On the left side menu, click Payroll > Employees.
- Click the name of the employee.
- At the top right corner, click Cancel invite.
- Update their email address and resend the invite.
If an employee has accepted the invite, you cannot update their email address without help from our Support Team. To update their email, open Mave, Wave’s automated chatbot, and type human support reset employee email, then provide the name of the employee.
