Wave works with Plaid, a specialist provider of secure bank data connections, to offer the ability to connect your bank to Wave. Learn more in Understand bank connections.
Due to certain security measures, a few things work differently with a Chase Bank connection to Wave.
Masked numbers
Chase Bank has a security feature that uses masked or false numbers to represent your bank accounts in third-party applications such as Wave. Masked numbers are used for all account types - personal and business checking accounts, savings accounts, and credit cards. Chase Bank has implemented this security feature, and Wave cannot make any changes.
If your Chase Bank account is connected to Wave for online payments or payroll, you will see masked numbers instead of your account number. Your funds will still be withdrawn or deposited into the correct account.
If you are concerned if the right account is connected, open Mave, Wave’s automated chatbot, and type human support Chase Bank account number to reach our support team.
Connection limitation
Automatic bank transaction imports are part of Wave’s Pro Plan. Learn more about Wave’s plans or how to subscribe.
Chase Bank accounts can only be connected for automatic transaction imports to one third-party application at a time. If your Chase account is connected to another application for auto-imports, then connecting it to Wave will stop imports for the previous connection.
Chase Bank connections can only auto-import bank transactions in one Wave business at a time.
This is not specific to Wave and is a Chase Bank feature.
Recurring bank payments
Wave is unable to support automatic recurring bank payments from a Chase bank account on recurring invoices. Customers can still make payments, however, they must manually enter their details. Learn more about how customers can pay an invoice through Wave.
