There is no limit to how many bank accounts you can connect to import transactions.
To connect your bank account:
- Log in to your Wave account at waveapps.com.
- On the left-side menu, click Banking > Connected Accounts.
- If this is your first bank connection, jump to step 4. If you have existing bank connections, at the top right, click Connect account, or toggle your account ON.
- Select from the banks presented or enter the name of your bank in the search bar.
- In the pop-up window, click Continue, then follow the prompts to sign in to your online banking.
- If you have multiple accounts under the same financial institution, all of the supported accounts will appear in Wave. Select the accounts you want to import transactions from. Learn more about the supported account types for bank connections.
Wave does not support selecting only specific accounts from an institution to appear in Wave. If you do not want to import transactions for a specific account, turn the toggle off for that account.
- Select an account in your chart of accounts for each bank account you toggle imports on. To create a new account to import to, select New account.
- Click Edit date to choose how far back to import your transactions. Depending on your bank, you may be able to import up to 18 months of transactions.
To import older transactions, download electronic statements from your bank and upload them to Wave, or use Wave’s Google Sheets integration, Wave Connect.
You cannot rename or nickname bank accounts you connect in Wave. The default name is based on how Plaid fetches the information from your bank.
