Pause your Wave Payroll account
To better serve businesses and enable greater flexibility, Wave is offering you the ability to temporarily pause payroll.
When you update your subscription to Limited Access, your Wave Payroll account continues to run at a reduced price per month. On this new plan, you’ll still be able to access important business information and support when you need it the most, without running payroll.
You can temporarily pause your Wave Payroll account by following these steps:
- Click Settings
- Click Billing
- Click Cancel Payroll Subscription
- Select Switch my Subscription
- Update Subscription Preferences (i.e. how long will you pause payroll for)
When you switch your subscription to Limited Access, you will continue to have full access to all payroll features until the end of the month you update your subscription in. After that, your payroll subscription will change to Limited Access.
If you need to update your subscription payment method while the switch to Limited Access is pending, you can resume subscription to make the change. When completed, you can switch back to limited access.
Resuming your Wave Payroll account
You can resume payroll by following these steps:
- Click Settings
- Click Billing
- Click Resume Subscription
In addition to the steps above, you can resume payroll at any time, directly from the Run Payroll page, click Go to Billing.
When you resume your payroll subscription, you will have full access to running payroll immediately. Regular payroll pricing will resume automatically. A prorated amount will be billed upon resuming payroll.
