Set up online payments in the Wave mobile app
- Log in: Open the Wave mobile app and log in.
- Select Payments: Tap Payments on the bottom menu, then tap Get started with payments.
- This opens the payments set-up page in your mobile web browser. Follow on from step 3 below to complete setup.

- Log in: Log in to your account at waveapps.com.
- Access payments setup: On the left-side menu, click Sales & Payments > Payments Setup.
- Enter business type: Select your business type and fill out the business details page. Click Save and continue.
- Provide personal details: Enter your personal information and click Save to continue.
- Why this information?: To keep our services and partners secure, Wave is legally obligated to collect certain details to ensure security and combat fraud. This is standard across payment processors. Learn more in Provide your business's ownership information.
- Enter banking details: Provide your banking information for transferring funds from paid invoices. If your bank isn't listed, you can enter your details manually.
- Manual entry is only available for Wave's online payments and payroll features.
- Enter business name: Enter the name that will appear on customer credit card statements. If customers recognize you by a name different from your legal business name, use that. Click Save and continue.
- Identity verification: Follow the prompts to verify your identity. Keep your government-issued ID ready. You’ll be able to take a picture of your ID using your webcam or upload an existing image.
Application review: After verification, Wave will review your application. If additional information is needed, we will contact you by email.
