Update your phone number for two-factor authentication (2FA)

Currently, the only way to update your 2FA phone number is by turning 2FA off and then on again. This action prompts Wave to ask for your new number. Each time you turn 2FA on, Wave generates new recovery keys for you.

To update the phone number you use for multi-factor authentication (2FA):

1. Click your business name in the top right corner, then select Profile settings.
2. In the settings menu, click Password & Security.
3. Next to Sign-in with phone number, click Turn off, then click Turn off phone authentication to confirm.
4. Click Set up phone number.
5. Enter your new phone number, then click Continue.
6. In the next pop-up, Wave will generate your recovery keys. Click Download (.txt file) to download your recovery keys, then click Continue.
7. Click Done.
