Why am I being asked to re-authenticate?

Change or update your Wave password

To change your Wave password:

  1. Log in to your Wave account at waveapps.com.
  2. In the top right corner, click your business name, then Profile settings.
  3. From the Settings menu, select Password & Security.
  4. Enter your old password, your new password, and your new password again for confirmation.
  5. Click Change password.

Why am I being asked to re-authenticate?

If you enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you must re-authenticate to save changes in the Password & Security section of your Profile Settings. This protects your account.

Here is what to expect during the re-authentication process:

  1. When you save a change in the Password & Security section, Wave prompts you for re-authentication.
  2. Complete the security check by entering a code from your SMS One-Time Password (OTP) or your Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) authenticator app.
  3. Re-authenticate to complete your changes.
