Rather than signing in to Wave using a combination of an email address and password, you may choose to use your existing Google Account.
Caution: If you close your Google account, you will be permanently locked out of your Wave account.
Link your Google account
- Click on your business name in the top right corner.
- Click Profile settings in the drop-down menu.
- Select Emails.
- Scroll down, and underneath the Linked Accounts heading, click on the Google button.
- You’ll be taken to Google to confirm that you'd like to use your Google sign in to access Wave. If you're not logged into Google, you'll be prompted to log in to your account. Google will ask you to connect to my.waveapps.com. This is the correct URL for Wave.
From now on, when you log into Wave, instead of manually entering an email and password, click the Google icon to get to your account.
What access does Wave have to your Google information?
The only information Wave has access to is your email address. Wave will not access any other information connected with your Google account.
Make sure you're connecting the right Google account to Wave. If you have multiple Google accounts, pay attention to ensure you're logged into the account you'd like connected to Wave. Google will display your account name when you make the connection.
Unlink your Google account
- Click on your business name in the top right corner.
- Click Profile settings.
- Select Emails.
- Underneath Linked Accounts, click the trash can icon next to your Google account.
If you signed up with Google, you’ll need to create a password for your Wave account before you can unlink your Google account. To create a password, follow the steps in Create a password for your account if you signed up with Google.
