Sometimes you may want to add additional owner email addresses to your Wave account to log in with, and send invoices from. Here’s how you can do that.
The additional email addresses will give business owner level access to your Wave account, when yourself or a trusted individual uses them to log in.
To add a new owner email address to your Wave account:
- Select your business name in the top right corner.
- Click Profile settings.
- Select Emails from the left menu.
If you log in using Google or Yahoo you will not see Emails. Click Password and security first and create a password. Once you've done so, Emails will appear.
- Click Add new email.
- In the pop up box, enter your alternative email address.
An email address can only be associated with, and used to log in to, one Wave account at a time, so ensure any additional email addresses you’re adding aren’t already tied to another Wave account. This excludes emails added to another Wave user’s business as a User.
- Click the Add email address button.
- You’ll be sent a verification email by Wave to verify the new email address. Find this email in your inbox, and click the verification link in the email.
You’re done! You can now use your alternative email address to log in to your Wave account, and to send invoices to customers.
If there is a password set on your account, all email addresses will share that password to log in.
How to delete an email address
To remove an owner email address from your Wave account, follow these steps:
- Select your business name in the top right corner.
- Click Profile settings.
- Select Emails from the left menu.
- Find the email address you would like to remove, and click the trash can icon next to it.
- You’ll be asked to confirm removing this email address; select Delete email to confirm.
