How do I know if the update has changed my cash-basis reports?

If you only use the default report type on an accrual basis, you will not see any changes. If you use customer credit or vendor prepayment accounts in Wave, you should have received an email titled Important: Update to cash basis reports. This email outlines the changes to the cash-basis reports in your Wave account. If you use these account types and did not receive this email, check your junk folder.

What reports are affected?

Only the cash-basis report type of the profit & loss statement, balance sheet, trial balance report, and the account transactions report are affected. This includes past report periods.

When does this update happen?

The cash-basis reports will update on December 12, 2024.

How can I export my reports?

To export your reports:
  1. Log in to your account at waveapps.com.
  2. On the left-side menu, click Reports.
  3. Click the report you want to export.
  4. At the top right corner, click Export, then select CSV or PDF.

Your report will export to your device.
