Edit or remove a deposit payment on an estimate

This feature is for Pro Plan subscribers and businesses using Wave’s online payments feature.

To edit or remove a deposit payment made using Wave’s online payment feature, refund your customer.

You can edit or remove a manual deposit payment on an estimate even after it has been converted to an invoice.

To edit or remove a manually recorded payment on an estimate in a web browser:

  1. Find and open the estimate.
  2. In the Accept section, find the manually recorded payment.
  3. To edit the deposit payment, click Edit payment, then enter the new details. To delete it, click Remove payment, then in the pop-up window, click Yes, remove payment.

To edit or remove a manually recorded payment on an estimate in the Wave mobile app:

  1. Find and open the estimate.
  2. Under Deposit payments, tap the payment. If there are multiple deposit payments, tap them, then select the payment to be edited or removed.
  3. To edit the deposit, tap Edit payment, then update the necessary details. To remove the deposit, tap Delete payment, then in the pop-up window, tap Delete.
