How to send an estimate

There are multiple ways you can send an estimate to your customer. This article will take you through the different options, and how to use them.

Your first step will be to reach the Estimate's view page, where you’ll find the options to send your estimate. To get to this page:

  1. Head to Sales & Payments > Estimates.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow to the right of the estimate you want to send, and select View.
  3. Open the Send dropdown menu.

Send through Wave

  1. Select Send with Wave from the dropdown menu.
  2. The To section will be filled in automatically if you have an email address on file for the customer. Otherwise, enter in the recipient’s email address.
  3. You may enter a message for your customer in the Message section, and select the checkbox next to your email address to send a copy to yourself.
  4. Click Send.

To quickly send an estimate through Wave, head to the Sales & Payments > Estimates page, click the dropdown arrow to the right of an estimate, select Send, fill in the details, then click Send again.

Send via Google, Yahoo, or Outlook

  1. Select your email provider from the dropdown menu: Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or Outlook
  2. You’ll be redirected to your email provider. On this page you can:
    1. Edit the recipient’s email address.
    2. Edit the email header and message.
    3. Add any additional links or attachments.
  3. Click Send.

The email contains a link to the estimate, which your customer can click on to view the estimate.

Send via Share URL

  1. Copy the Share URL from the dropdown menu.
  2. Paste the URL into an email you’ve created using your email provider.
  3. Add the recipient’s email address, a message, and any other links or attachments.
  4. Send the email.

Send a PDF

  1. Select the option Export as PDF from the dropdown menu.
  2. Attach the downloaded estimate to an email you’ve created using your email provider.
  3. Add the recipient’s email address, a message, and any other links or attachments.
  4. Send the email.

If you need a physical copy of the estimate, you can choose the Print Estimate option from the dropdown menu.
